Download and run. With no license, NVR records one camera with the full feature set, so you can confirm it works with your cameras before paying a cent.

Buy a license#

From the portal or the home page, choose Buy NVR — $50. After checkout you’ll get an email with your license token and setup steps. You can retrieve your token any time by signing in to the portal.

Apply your token#

Add it to your config.yaml:

license:
  token: "your-token-here"

Or save the token to a file and point at it instead:

license:
  token_path: /etc/nvr/license.token

Restart NVR. The license is verified offline — NVR never phones home to check it.

Manage your license#

Sign in to the portal — magic-link email, no password — to:

• copy your license token,
• request a refund within 15 days,
• leave a rating.
